Do I need documents or a collateral?

Yes you do. We collect a wide range of collateral, kindly reach out to us for more details on what you can use as collateral.

How can I repay?

You can repay by funding your Transkredit account, via debit card on our mobile app, or simply reach out to your account officer.

What happens if I don't pay back?

You should only take a loan if you have the capacity to repay it to avoid:

Late fees
Sale of your collateral
Report to national credit bureaus as required by law (CRC, First Central)

What happens if I lose my phone?

Send an email to [email protected] to get the details of your loan and your repayment date. You can also sign in from another phone using your email address and password

Can I liquidate my investment before maturity?

Yes, you can. However, this could attract some pre-liquidation charges depending on how far into your tenor you are.

How much interest do I earn with Transkredit?

You can earn an annualized interest rate of as much as 24% on whatever amount you have deposited.

How is the interest on loans calculated?

Interest is effectively calculated per annum, and the interest rate is based on whatever loan product is selected.

What is Withholding Tax and how does it affect interest earned?

All interest earned in Transkredit is subject to 10% withholding tax in accordance to tax laws

How long does it take to get a loan?

Loans are typically processed between 24-48 hours upon completion of the loan application.

What is your interest rate on loan?

You can get interest rates on loans for as low as 3% based on your selected loan product.
